Roche Park Recreation Centre – Sporty Tots

Collie PCYC – Gymnastics, KinderGym and Ninja activities

Young participants can choose from beginner-to-squad gymnastics, KinderGym, KinderNinja for five-year-olds, IntroNinja, FreeG obstacle activities and non-competitive recreational gymnastics. Book online or call (08) 9734 5767 to check places and costs.

Central Park Water and Adventure Playground

Plan an outdoor family outing with water and adventure play, grassed picnic areas, electric barbecues, tables and seating. Toilets, change rooms and free Wi-Fi are also available; check the Shire’s parks information before visiting.

📚 Early learning and parenting

Collie Public Library – Sing-Along Story Time

Preschool children and their carers can share stories and songs on Wednesdays at 9.30 am during school term. WA residents can join the library free, and a library card also provides access to StoryBox Library picture-book videos. Phone (08) 9734 9042 for enquiries.

Child and Parent Centre – Collie Valley

Families in Collie and surrounding areas with children from birth to eight can access free programs, playgroups and family support. Operated by Investing In Our Youth, the centre is based at Wilson Park Primary School, 6 Cable Street. Call (08) 9734 3364.

Collie Family Centre – Parenting Groups

Occasional programs and workshops are delivered with the Child and Parent Centre and other parenting organisations. Offerings named by the centre include Incredible Years and Tuning Into Teens for parents of children aged 10–16. Call (08) 9734 5343 for upcoming dates and bookings.

🌱 Health, caring and family support

South West Healthy Country Kids – Collie Child Health Service

Country WA families can access free child health nursing, developmental checks and referrals. Collie clinics operate at Collie Family Centre on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and at the Child and Parent Centre from Monday to Wednesday. Book an approximately one-hour appointment on 1800 457 949.

MyTime – Collie group

This weekly peer group supports parents and carers of children under 18 who require a higher level of care due to disability, developmental delay, chronic illness or other additional needs. The Ngala-coordinated group meets Wednesdays from 10 am to noon. Contact Eleanor Jones on 0437 135 370 for the venue and current arrangements.

Relationships WA – 4families

Collie is included in this regional family mental health service’s Bunbury catchment. Free assistance includes counselling and emotional support, information and referrals, psychosocial support, casework, workshops and groups, including help for grandparents and carers. Call (08) 6164 0600.

🎯 Youth opportunities

Collie PCYC – safeSPACE™

Qualified youth workers provide recreational, cultural and developmental activities, with drop-in sessions that may include meals and social time. Free Friday sessions are described for young people aged 12–17, while targeted programs require referral by an agency. Check current arrangements with Collie PCYC.

Collie PCYC – Drive to the Future
